Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a family of musicians. She spent the majority of her youth listening to music from the past and boleros of the past, classic ranchero or romantic songs along with older classical songs. Ana enjoys tangos operas and other dramatic performances. Ana started learning how to play the piano and sing at an early age with her mother. She was given more formal singing instruction when she was 16 years old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca at The School of Sacred Music. While a student, and being a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups as well as choruses. Following her move from Mexico to America at the age of 2000, she sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She has performed solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Her love and passion in music, art and performing has her involved with many local organizations as a performer and teacher. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able to bring to others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can inspire younger generations to keep the tradition alive.
